Insulating Glass Molecular Sieve
Desiccant that keeps sealed glass units fog-free for decades
Specialized 3A molecular sieve that controls dew point inside insulating glass units, preventing condensation and window failure.
Product Overview
Insulating glass (IG) units rely on a sealed cavity of dry gas (argon or air) between two or more glass panes. Any residual moisture condenses on the glass at low temperatures, causing fogging and permanent damage. Insulating glass molecular sieve, typically 3A grade, is embedded in the spacer system to adsorb this moisture and hold the cavity dew point below -40°C.
Our IG-grade 3A sieve is engineered to resist cracking during the glass tempering and handling cycle, produces minimal dust (preventing haze on glass), and maintains its capacity for the full life of the window, typically 20+ years.
Key Features
- Crack-free formulation for glass handling stresses
- Ultra-low dust keeps glass cavity haze-free
- Holds cavity dew point below -40°C
- Stable capacity over 20+ year window life
- Meets EN 1279 / ASTM E1887 standards
