Product Overview
Activated alumina desiccant is the preferred moisture-removal media for compressed air dryers, gas drying towers and instrument air systems. It achieves pressure dew points of -40°C and below while resisting liquid water carryover better than silica gel, and it does not soften or dissolve on contact with condensate.
Produced in uniform 3-5mm and 4-6mm spheres, our desiccant grade offers high dynamic water capacity, low dust formation and exceptional mechanical strength, ensuring reliable long-term performance in heatless, heated and blower purge dryers.

How often should activated alumina desiccant be replaced?
In a standard heatless air dryer, media typically lasts 3-5 years. Replacement is indicated when dew point rises above specification or pressure drop increases significantly.
Can activated alumina and molecular sieve be combined?
Yes. A common design uses a bottom layer of activated alumina as a guard bed to protect an upper molecular sieve layer, maximizing capacity and protecting the more expensive sieve.
