Macroporous Alumina Microspheres
Large-pore alumina spheres for heavy oil and bio-catalysis
Macroporous alumina microspheres with pore diameters above 100Å for processing heavy feedstocks and high-molecular-weight molecules.
Product Overview
Macroporous alumina microspheres are engineered with pore diameters exceeding 100 angstroms to accommodate large molecules found in heavy crude oil, vacuum gas oil and biomass-derived feedstocks. The open pore network prevents pore-mouth blockage and enables deep conversion of bulky molecules.
Produced as spherical microspheres in 0.5-2mm ranges, this product serves as catalyst support and adsorbent in ebullating bed reactors, slurry processes and bio-refining applications where mass transfer of large molecules is rate-limiting.
Key Features
- Pore diameter 100-500Å for bulky molecules
- High pore volume ≥ 0.8 ml/g
- Spherical microspheres 0.5-2mm
- High mechanical strength in slurry service
- Resists coke-induced pore blockage
