Product Overview

Calcined active α-alumina microspheres bridge the gap between inert alpha alumina and active gamma alumina. The controlled calcination converts the structure toward the stable alpha phase while retaining a useful level of surface activity, providing a carrier that survives high-temperature regenerators yet still anchors active metals effectively.

These microspheres are used in FCC catalyst formulations, high-temperature gas cleanup and as attrition-resistant components in fluidized processes where thermal stability and mechanical integrity are paramount.

Key Features

  • Stable to 1200°C+ service temperature
  • Retains useful surface activity after calcination
  • Spherical microspheres resist fluidized-bed attrition
  • Low sodium for thermal stability
  • Ideal FCC additive carrier
